✨ The Story of Lokta Paper

Artisans make each lampshade from the fibrous bark of the Daphne bush, a shrub that grows at high altitudes in the Himalayas. Because harvesting the bark doesn't destroy the tree, it regenerates naturally. Artisans then produce the paper entirely without electricity, using ancient sun-drying techniques.

Lokta paper is naturally acid-free and resistant to humidity and insects, so it lasts far longer than standard paper shades. Its unique, long-fiber texture also creates a beautiful, diffused light that is easy on the eyes.

💡 Installation & Styling

For the best atmosphere, we recommend a Warm White LED bulb. The natural fibers of the Nepali Kagaj catch the warm tones. As a result, the beautiful imperfections of the handmade paper stand out.

Note: the light cord kit and bulb are not included. However, this lampshade arrives flat-packed and pops open easily for immediate installation.
